Chesley joined SCAR in 2024 as an Archaeological Field Technician. She completed Portland State University’s Public Archaeology Field School on the Oregon coast in 2023.
Her experience includes assisting with pedestrian survey, subsurface investigations, site testing, cultural resource monitoring, data collection, and archaeological documentation in compliance with state and federal cultural resource regulations, as well as report preparation.
She has a strong interest in curation and plays a key role in supporting SCAR’s curation efforts. In 2025, she was promoted to Staff Archaeologist, where she continues to support both fieldwork and office operations.
